Photo taken Friday, September 5, 2008, at the Pentagon at the 2008 Newman's Own Award Ceremony honoring Showball Express as one of the top 15 non-profit organizations serving military veterns and their families.
The mission of Snowball Express, an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, is to help create new memories and a few days of joy for lives that have been shattered by the loss of their fallen hero. It is America's chance to give a gift of gratitude to the children and spouses of those men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice since September 11, 2001.
The 091 Foundation has collaborated with Snowball Express to arrange the sponsorship of American Airlines and the Allied Pilots Association to provide the majority of Airlift to bring families of fallen service members to an all inclusive California / Disneyland experience 29 Nov-3 Dec 2007. These families will be paying the Price of Freedom for the rest of their lives, thus, the mission to support them is an honor and privilege. American Airlines will be flying families to the event from all over the world. Additionally, American and it’s volunteer crew members will fly three charters.
